I recently had the opportunity to offer a lift to someone attending the outdoor Saturday food pantry at our Presbyterian church. The volunteers who generously dedicate their Saturday afternoons, along with the morning for set-up, embody a spirit of cheerfulness, patience, kindness, and respect. They also go the extra mile in assisting individuals with transporting items back to their vehicles. The atmosphere among those waiting in line to be served is marked by friendliness and good humor. The presence of trees situated on the northern side of the parking lot adds a charming touch to the surroundings and serves as a natural boundary for curious children. The array of food available is truly impressive! Especially in these ongoing times of Covid, food pantries play a crucial role, and this one is exceptionally well-coordinated. Paying a visit here will surely leave you with a sense of contentment, and you may even feel inspired to join as a volunteer!
