This church is absolutely lovely and welcoming. The moment you step inside, you are greeted with open arms and guided in the right direction. They offer childcare, several services to choose from, live streaming options, and even a charming coffee spot. The youth spaces are organized by age groups and are kept in great condition. My time at this church has been truly enjoyable, and I highly recommend giving it a go if you're seeking a place to worship.
Peter Sullivan (6/23/25, 8:59 AM):
When y'all search for non-denominational churches in Fairbanks, True North pops up as the top result, but let me tell ya, they are denominational. Yep, they're an Assembly of God church. The kind that speaks in tongues, you know? I reckon the church is pretty good overall, 'cept for all that tongue speaking stuff. "No more than two or three should speak in tongues. They must speak one at a time, and someone must interpret what they say." 1 Corinthians 14:27 NLT. If you get involved in any way, you'll see that everyone, including the pastoral staff, is a sinner in desperate need of God, but ain't that the case for all believers? As for the size, I reckon True North can be considered a mega church in the area, but it still has that small church vibe. They're mighty friendly towards the military, which is just what ya need with all them transient military folks in Fairbanks.
Ann King (6/23/25, 6:52 AM):

Joe Nguyen (6/21/25, 2:50 AM):
I found myself 4000 miles away from home, working in a new place without my family and church community. Fortunately, FB1st welcomed me with open arms and hearts. Every time I'm in Fairbanks, I make sure to attend their service. It truly feels like my home away from home.
Victoria Kelly (6/19/25, 4:40 AM):
I am always reminded of the love and forgiveness that God has for me, and I just want to extend my thanks to all those who have been obedient to God. Without certain individuals, I might have found myself headed down a much darker path in life, but above all, it would not have been possible without Jesus.
Sharon Wilson (6/13/25, 1:05 PM):
