Welcome to Polar Bowl, the premier bowling alley located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska. This family-friendly facility offers a fun environment, perfect for children and adults alike. Whether you're planning a birthday party for your kids or just looking for a fun day out with the family, Polar Bowl has something to offer everyone.

Kid-Friendly Activities and Amenities

One of the standout features of Polar Bowl is its focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for families. The bowling alley boasts top-notch kid ramps, making it easy for children to enjoy bowling without any hassle. It's also the ideal venue for kids' birthday parties, ensuring that your little ones have an unforgettable celebration filled with fun and laughter.

Delicious Food Offerings

While bowling is the main attraction, Polar Bowl also offers a variety of food options to satisfy your cravings. You can choose from healthy choices as well as typical dive bar food like pizza, burgers, and tots. However, some guests have noted that the prices can be a bit steep, with meals costing over $20 for smaller portions. Despite these concerns, many visitors appreciate the savory dishes available at the Pins dining area.

Accessibility for All Guests

Polar Bowl takes accessibility seriously, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park to ensure all guests can enjoy their experience without barriers. This commitment to inclusivity makes it a great choice for families with different needs.

Affordable Fun or Expensive Outings?

Many guests have remarked on the affordability of games during specific hours, such as the early bird specials, where you can bowl for just 99 cents per game. However, other visitors have pointed out that outside of these deals, bowling can become quite expensive, especially for larger families. For example, one family reported spending around $80 for two games for six people, which may deter some from frequent visits.

Absolutely chuffed with the spiffy new renovations at the bowling alley. The settees are proper cozy, and I'm thrilled they've introduced hyperbowling for a bit of added flair to the game. Cheers!

This bowling alley is top-notch, I must say. The cleanliness and modernity are simply unparalleled. The interior is just stunning! And let me tell you, the TV screens have been upgraded to showcase some really nifty activities as well.
Grace Reyes (7/13/25, 11:26 AM):
What a splendid bowling alley, top-notch grub right on the premises as well! If only I didn't have to rely on a helpful service member to accompany me each visit, haha. 😄...

My wife and I popped into this bowling alley for a little date night, and let me tell you, we had an absolute ball! The food was surprisingly decent, the prices were fair, and the atmosphere was just a hoot. Can't wait to go back!
Kelly Ramos (7/11/25, 12:24 AM):
Perfect spot for a fun night out at the JBER bowling alley, located conveniently near lodging. Enjoy affordable games and drinks, just make sure to stay updated on their schedule as it can be a bit unpredictable. Cheers!
Christian Cox (7/9/25, 3:03 AM):
Oh, dear! It appears you may have misspelled the word "bowling." Bowling is a thrilling sport that involves rolling a heavy ball down a lane to knock over pins. Have you ever visited a bowling alley before? It's a jolly good time for friends and family to gather for a bit of friendly competition. Feel free to share your favorite bowling memories or tips for improving one's game! Cheers!
Teresa Reynolds (7/8/25, 3:39 AM):
Reasonably priced pints, top-notch service, but the grub leaves a lot to be desired.
Raymond Price (7/1/25, 8:43 PM):
Tremendous establishment, love the modern electric scoring system. The lanes appeared to be coated with a thick layer of house oil.
Sarah Patterson (6/29/25, 8:00 AM):
Great bowling alley, we just had a slight issue with the ball return getting stuck. It would be fab if it was open more frequently.
Evelyn Morales (6/28/25, 5:45 PM):
The bowling alley is spotless and the staff are friendly, but blimey, it's a bit steep on the old wallet. We brought our family of 6 (2 grown-ups and 4 youngsters under 11) for a jaunt on a Saturday evening and forked out $80.00 for a couple of games and shoe hire for everyone. This is the priciest game of bowling we've encountered on a military base. With those rates, it seems like us and many other families won't be able to partake in this fun activity too frequently.
Cheryl Fisher (6/28/25, 6:38 AM):
We had a fantastic time at the bowling alley on a lovely Friday afternoon. It was wonderfully quiet, and the games were a steal at just 99 cents each.
Shirley Nguyen (6/27/25, 1:13 PM):
Such a jolly good time for the whole family and mates. The staff was absolutely splendid, I must say!
Stephen Edwards (6/27/25, 2:17 AM):
Way better than the DFAC for us on base, and with affordable bowling, it's the perfect spot to hang out.
Ruth Howard (6/26/25, 5:23 PM):
Lovely little bowling alley, I must say. The chap there mentioned they've recently revamped their computer systems. And a jolly good deal they have too, if you fancy a game before 4 pm. Cheers!
Doris Ramirez (6/26/25, 7:42 AM):
Hyper bowling is quite a nifty concept, but the lanes seem overly responsive to high velocities. The cuisine, priced over $20 for a modest hotdog or the like, struck me as rather steep. My companion and I ended up shelling out more than $50 for a snack-sized repast for two. It's truly disheartening that even on base, our Soldiers/Airmen can't evade the clutches of Alaska's inflation. While this venue could serve as a prime opportunity for curbing instances of DUIs, the exorbitant costs likely deter young Service members from patronizing it. Alas, with such astronomical prices, one can hardly be surprised by the absence of our youthful troops there. One can only wonder how this establishment plans to improve retention rates under such circumstances.
