Welcome to Polar Bowl, the premier bowling alley located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska. This family-friendly facility offers a fun environment, perfect for children and adults alike. Whether you're planning a birthday party for your kids or just looking for a fun day out with the family, Polar Bowl has something to offer everyone.

Kid-Friendly Activities and Amenities

One of the standout features of Polar Bowl is its focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for families. The bowling alley boasts top-notch kid ramps, making it easy for children to enjoy bowling without any hassle. It's also the ideal venue for kids' birthday parties, ensuring that your little ones have an unforgettable celebration filled with fun and laughter.

Delicious Food Offerings

While bowling is the main attraction, Polar Bowl also offers a variety of food options to satisfy your cravings. You can choose from healthy choices as well as typical dive bar food like pizza, burgers, and tots. However, some guests have noted that the prices can be a bit steep, with meals costing over $20 for smaller portions. Despite these concerns, many visitors appreciate the savory dishes available at the Pins dining area.

Accessibility for All Guests

Polar Bowl takes accessibility seriously, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park to ensure all guests can enjoy their experience without barriers. This commitment to inclusivity makes it a great choice for families with different needs.

Affordable Fun or Expensive Outings?

Many guests have remarked on the affordability of games during specific hours, such as the early bird specials, where you can bowl for just 99 cents per game. However, other visitors have pointed out that outside of these deals, bowling can become quite expensive, especially for larger families. For example, one family reported spending around $80 for two games for six people, which may deter some from frequent visits.

Julie Cooper (9/3/25, 2:29 PM):
My husband, son and I had a jolly good time at this splendid bowling alley. It was our son's inaugural bowling experience, and we couldn't have chosen a better venue. After knocking down some pins, we ventured to the arcade section for more family fun and created wonderful memories together.

Cheers to you, Polar Bowl!
Michael Morales (8/30/25, 12:51 PM):
We did have a couple of hiccups with our 2 lanes, but overall it was a jolly good time with the little ones, and we're keen on returning for another go!
Andrew Nelson (8/25/25, 10:09 PM):
Loads of fun! They've got bumpers for the little ones, which is a great touch.
Larry Jordan (8/25/25, 7:51 PM):
"Right, so about half of the lanes for bowling seem to be out of order. Quite a shame, mate. Hopefully they'll get 'em fixed up soon so we can have a proper game."
Raymond Cooper (8/25/25, 5:35 AM):
The bowling alley was absolutely smashing, the staff were ever so helpful.
Aaron Diaz (8/23/25, 7:31 PM):
Greetings mate! I must say this bowling alley is absolutely smashing. The atmosphere here is top-notch and the lanes are so well-maintained. I had a jolly good time knocking down pins with my mates. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have a proper good time. Cheers!

Great folks, solid lanes, and delicious pizza.

I have fond memories of the good times I spent at Polar Bowl during my time at Elmendorf AFB from 1976 to 1978. Those were truly special days that I dearly miss!

Absolutely smashing bowling alley with top-notch technology. Alas, the chaps running the show seem to be a bit off their game when it comes to pricing. Bowler beware!
Patrick Ortiz (8/17/25, 5:09 AM):
A rather decent bowling alley, with a modern and fresh vibe.
Willie Perez (8/14/25, 1:28 AM):
Quite pricey once the clock strikes midnight at the Bowling alley.
Olivia Cook (8/13/25, 9:13 PM):
My children are absolutely mad about bowling at the moment, and let me tell you, this establishment boasts the most fantastic kid-friendly ramps!
Rose Cook (8/13/25, 7:40 PM):
This bowling alley located on the base is quite sizeable and well-maintained. The staff is top-notch. If you have a penchant for bowling and have access to the base, I highly suggest paying a visit.
Amy Butler (8/12/25, 2:54 PM):
Wonderful spot to take the little ones. The grub and beverages were top-notch, and the ambiance was simply marvelous. Wasn't too keen on the arcade section, though - seemed a bit neglected, with machines gobbling up your coins and the prize contraption refusing to dispense goodies despite racking up tickets. Nevertheless, the bowling part of the joint was an absolute delight.
Thomas Brown (8/12/25, 8:57 AM):
A jolly good time for the entire family, including the wee ones!
Noah Butler (8/10/25, 1:21 AM):
Me and my mates paid for a couple of games at this bowling alley, and our lane got jammed for ages during both games. In the second game, we had to ask twice for it to be fixed and after waiting over 15 minutes, we gave up and requested a refund. The staff member tried to insist it had only been 5 minutes, but we had been checking the time on our watches throughout the wait. Rolling your eyes at customers ain't the way to make up for lousy service. We won't be coming back, but at least we got our money back.
Diane Rodriguez (8/9/25, 10:40 AM):
The lanes were fantastic! My husband reckons it's the best he's ever been to.
Douglas Thompson (8/6/25, 6:08 PM):
The staff is absolutely dreadful. The way they treat customers is simply appalling.
