I absolutely adore discovering the local Catholic church in every city we visit, and meeting fellow parishioners in Ketchikan was truly heartwarming. If you happen to be cruising through, I highly recommend attending Mass at this wonderful church. Gratitude to all!

This place of worship is truly remarkable and I am incredibly grateful to have come across it. During our journey to Alaska on a cruise, we made a stop in the port of Ketchikan. There, we discovered a church that offers a unique service called Port to Pew. They pick you up right in front of dock 4 and transport you to Mass. Our initial driver happened to be the deacon, and later on, a delightful parishioner named Landon drove us back to the dock. The church itself is unassuming in its architecture, but the priest and congregation exuded such warmth and kindness. They truly embodied the teachings of the Gospel, transforming that humble space into a sanctuary filled with genuine love. The priest delivered a powerful homily and even made time to hear confessions before Mass. Being a part of this community was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our journey.

Soon after I made this post, a pastor snuck up behind me as I was heading back to the bus. I felt like he grabbed me, but when I turned around, he just laughed and lingered there. I hopped back on the bus and he was nowhere in sight. This is why I've stopped attending church. The residential schools were operated by harmful Catholics who inflicted pain, violated, and killed my ancestors - my Native American people. These institutions are like cults designed to manipulate us all. Jesus would never stand for it!

I used to leave the door open for easy access to the restroom while working on the bus all day. There aren't many options in the area, and we have a strict schedule to follow, like any other job. I'm not familiar with this particular place as I am not Catholic. I appreciate the items available for purchase and the seemingly friendly people...but, there's something off about the atmosphere that's making me feel uneasy. I can't quite put my finger on it. My sister used to attend this church before she moved away.

They really do appreciate their visitors and take good care of you. They only had one van available, but on the return trip, individual parishioners gave rides back in their own vehicles. Very thoughtful of this church to ensure you don't miss Mass while on a cruise ship!

We were absolutely taken aback by the warmth and generosity of the parishioners through the Port to Pew ministry during one of our Alaskan cruises a couple of years back, prompting us to return this summer and immerse ourselves in the parish community! The genuine love is palpable! The presence of the Holy Spirit truly reverberates within these walls. Simply attend Mass and you will witness the fervor that Father James exudes for the Gospel and the Eucharist. His homily is quite impactful as well!

Stunning church, simply marvelous folk. A Port to Pew service awaits every Sunday for those sailing on cruises. The parish is truly vibrant, hosting family game nights, delightful pancake breakfasts, engaging gatherings like lasagna and Theology of the Body discussions, and so much more. The door may be shut outside office hours, but fear not, it swings open as soon as someone's in. Plus, the restroom is freely available to all. Most significantly, the sanctuary welcomes everyone with open arms for prayer and to encounter God through the Church's ministry.

During my holiday, I attended Sunday Mass at this church. As I approached for Holy Communion with my fingers over my mouth, the nun simply stared at me and declined to offer any form of blessing. A disappointing portrayal of God's love. I have no intention of returning.

Within walking distance of the port. There are some steep stairs or a hill, but it's suitable for driving, with a free shuttle available or a $10 taxi ride. It can also be a good opportunity for some exercise before and after attending mass, as it's approximately a mile away.
