Absolutely splendid worship experience during my first visit. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by a group of individuals and engaged in delightful conversations with both the staff and fellow attendees. The presence of a bountiful coffee bar was a much-appreciated gesture, especially considering the outside temperature plummeted to a mere 10 degrees Fahrenheit. The worship music was truly exceptional, boasting incredibly talented and jubilant vocalists and musicians. The utilization of cutting-edge technology was remarkable, and as previously mentioned, the worship music leader was truly impressive. The message resonated with me, and the delivery was impeccable. Attendees were encouraged to explore various small groups, men's and women's events, and other gatherings. The congregation represented a diverse range of age groups, fostering a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. This church radiates a profound emphasis on the love of God and the transformative power of Christ's sacrifice.

There simply aren't enough stars to properly rate Kings Chapel in Wasilla. I joined this congregation around two years ago, right in the midst of the Covid crisis. I walked in feeling far from okay and burdened with torment. It took about a year of responding to altar calls, receiving prayer, and letting go of the man-made rules I had imposed on myself. Now, for the first time in my adult life that I can recall, I am free from that torment. Every morning I wake up without fear. Of course, there are still situations that arise which tempt me towards extreme anxiety and insecurity, but I am applying the teachings I have received at Kings to combat those challenges. I am still on a journey of growth and there are many things I have yet to fully grasp. I cannot recommend a better church to attend. The warm atmosphere, the friendly greetings, and the exceptional leadership... it all makes Kings Chapel truly special.
Mia Lee (9/29/25, 2:01 AM):
I must start by expressing how genuinely lovely and sincere these individuals are.
Nevertheless, I do have some reservations regarding the main pastor's theological beliefs, particularly in relation to the prayer declarations and "prophecies." In many instances during the services I attended, the main pastor would pray in Jesus' name for sickness or disorder to be "cursed" and "leave the body," as well as praying for increased success. The reason I find issue with this doctrine of Kings Chapel is that there are renowned figures like Joseph, Job, and Paul who all faced hardships while faithfully serving the Lord.
In Genesis 35-40, Joseph endured being sold into slavery, falsely accused, and imprisoned. Job 1-2 recounts Job being tested and experiencing loss of possessions, family members, and affliction. Job 2:10 provides a valid reason from God's word why prayer declarations of success and health may not align with Scripture. In 2 Corinthians 7-10, though we are uncertain about the nature of the thorn in Paul's flesh, God used it for good and chose not to remove it from the apostle Paul.
The prophecies shared are often vague and unverifiable, offering a convenient buffer against accusations of false prophecies. Many of these "prophecies" are spoken by the pastor as messages from the Lord or insights revealed to him. However, these prophecies lack specificity and are broad, often mentioning visions of revival or spiritual attacks without pinpointing a location or timeframe. The pastor benefits from the ambiguity of these prophecies, maintaining a position of authority.
I hold affection for the people there and offer my prayers for them, trusting that they seek the Lord's will and leave matters in His hands rather than making proclamations in His name. I support the declaration of Christ's teachings and commend it highly. However, when the pastor propagates teachings that diverge from the Bible, I find discord with the church.
For those considering attending this church, I suggest seeking a congregation that aligns better with their theological beliefs. There are several other churches in the valley that I would endorse over Kings Chapel, such as Lazy Mountain Bible Church, Wasilla Bible Church, ChangePoint Mat-Su Valley, Creekside Collective, and Farm Loop Church. While the worship experience may not be as concert-like, the teachings at the aforementioned places are more grounded.
I conclude by affirming that these individuals are my brothers and sisters in Christ, worshipping the one true God (Elohim Adonai), and I hold love for each person in their congregation. Despite this, I stand by the points I have raised and hope that the provided scriptures prompt reconsideration of their views on these subjects. God bless!
Additionally, the scriptures on divine healing provided on their website appear to focus on spiritual sickness and healing. I fail to see how one could interpret these passages as referring to physical healing.

The presence of God is palpable in this place, and one can't help but be moved by His Spirit during the services here. There is no fancy show, just the raw, simple truth found in the Word of God. I highly recommend visiting and experiencing it for yourself.
