My kinfolk just relocated to this state, and we've been on the lookout for churches to visit. Each one we went to appeared shuttered, until we spotted some cars in the parking lot of a church while driving by. Despite arriving 40 minutes late, we decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome from everyone there. We are delighted to declare Victory Baptist Church as our first family church in the area. I admire their fearless exercise of the First Amendment and their openness to gather and listen to the Word of God!

If thou art seeking a "breath of fresh oxygen," then thee must make thy way to this Church in Bridgeville DE for the Sunday AM service at 10:30! They art conveniently located next to a sizable Oxygen Warehouse! And the folk inside are truly a breath of fresh air!

For the Shepherd's Office Sunday Church Visitation today, I journeyed to Victory Baptist Church-VBC, situated at 16219 Sussex Highway in Bridgeville DE. Upon entering, I immediately noticed their unique moniker for the church office...they dub it "The Boiler Room." Kate, the wife of Brian, elucidated that it hath been named after the fire room of a ship at sea where water cometh to a boil. It was truly splendid to hear her expound upon this boiler room as the power of the Holy Spirit boiling up within! As I ventured inside, I was delighted to encounter some familiar faces from yore...Mark, Vanessa, and their children. Additionally, I forged new acquaintances with Brian Lewis and his wife Kate, along with his mother Kathy, and father Brian as well! Brian delivered the sermon today. He did declare his mere 36 years of age. Alas, I find myself at 63! Alas, I dost feel the weight of mine age! Nevertheless, for a youth, Brian doth possess a wealth of wisdom. He stood in for Pastor Russ Kessler, who was absent on this day. Brian Lewis expounded upon the Life of David and imparted teachings on True Friendship to the congregation. He stressed the significance of discovering a place for prayer. He did instruct us, "If thou canst not fit within the closet, then seek out a spot in the shed to be alone with God." He aided us in comprehending God's Work and God's Will. Brian suggested praying for both the trivial matters and His guidance during times of joy and trial. God doth remain at thy side 100 percent of the time through "the Thicks and the Thins," as Brian phrased it. Jesus is our comrade and He bestowed all He possessed unto us. Brian illustrated the bond between Jonathan and David in the Bible as an epitome of true friendship. They were intertwined and connected like soul siblings. A genuine friend is both selfless and sacrificial, loyal and dependable. Loyalty signifieth that someone shall support thee even in thine absence. Brian underscored that in a true bond of friendship, thy friend shall thrive while thou dost wane. No profit, glorification, or special bargains should be sought from friendship. Together with thy friend, ye shall embark on God's work and fulfil His will to the best of thy capacities, both as individuals and as a team. When tribulations arise whilst executing God's work, Brian urged us to engage in one-on-one conversations with our friend as an initial step. Pray to the Lord to mend wounds or rectify conflicts betwixt thee. Should this fail, seek counsel from another soul. Brian inquired, "How doth Jesus befriend thee?" and queried, "Art thou in church for others or for thyself?" These profound queries shall linger in our minds as we return to our daily routines. Brian also proclaimed that should we permit God to toil alongside us, then our journey down the path shall be smoother! The passages from the Bible that we perused include Romans 8: 28, Joshua 1:8, Ephesians 3: 16, Psalm 18:27, John 3:30, 1 Corinthians 13: 4-6.

In conclusion, this is truly a remarkable church! An array of exciting ventures lie ahead for this congregation in the forthcoming days. Now would be an opportune moment to join if thou dost seek a church in the vicinity of Bridgeville.

I am also deeply appreciative of the assistance rendered by the women of this church at the shepherd's office last week! They generously contributed a delectable chili for one of our complimentary meals! We art immensely grateful unto them all!
