The folks at FBC are just the friendliest bunch! Always sporting a warm smile and a strong handshake to welcome you in. They truly go above and beyond to ensure you feel greeted and right at home.
This place, it's like a second home to me. Everyone is so welcoming, kind, and full of love... if only more people and places were like this, our world wouldn't be in such a mess. God is good ALL the time, and this church truly exemplifies that. The pastor's sermons not only teach the words of the Bible, but also speak directly to your heart and soul.
Whilst visiting family, we stumbled upon this KJB church. We're aware of only one similar church in upstate New York. Intrigued, we decided to attend Sunday Service. It was truly delightful! The warmth and friendliness of the congregation was heartwarming. Hearing a sermon from the King James Bible was a true blessing. We definitely plan on returning when we are in the area again.
We stopped by their Harvest Day celebration and were warmly welcomed by their congregation. Throughout the event, we had the pleasure of engaging with various members who were all kind and hospitable. It truly felt like a blessing to be in the midst of such a well-run event. It was evident that everyone present was having a wonderful time.
Absolutely adore this church!! The sermons hit you right in the feels. The missus and I particularly fancy the Committed Couples Sunday School Class. Our little lass adores her Sunday School Class and always gets a warm hug and a smile from her teacher. When you're within these walls, you're kin. The reverend and his missus are genuinely carrying out the Lord's work in the most wondrous fashion.
This church is absolutely splendid, truly adores the Lord, cherishes its congregation, and upholds the teachings of the Bible. Such a wonderful place of worship!
The people are all so friendly, and the pastors are fantastic men of God! The teachings from the King James Bible are profoundly Biblical and consistently expounded upon so we can embody the Truth in our everyday lives. The services are never dull, and the music always exalts God. There are incredible outreach initiatives to connect with our community for the Lord Jesus Christ. There are activities for children, teenagers, and adults. You must come and witness for yourself this marvelous church in Georgetown, Delaware! God bless.
I absolutely adore the folks at First Baptist Church of Georgetown! We've been part of the congregation for five years now, and we were welcomed with open arms. Dealing with my severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and my husband's health issues has meant we've missed a fair amount of church services. But our church family reached out and checked in on us regularly. That's a mark of a good church right there. And Pastor Woody does a fantastic job of helping us grasp the teachings of GOD's word. The One Call system is a favorite of mine too - I've used it three times already. It's reassuring to know that there are people ready to pray for you at a moment's notice. Grateful for my church family. GOD is truly wonderful.
My hubby and I have been part of First Baptist for a good many years. Pastor Woody and Pastor Joel, they do a terrific job in guiding us along the way. Their preaching is filled with the love and truth of God's word. The church itself is a warm and inviting place, where folks truly have a deep love for the Lord and one another. One of the highlights for us are the Life groups on Sunday evenings, where we truly feel like one big family. We share our joys, our sorrows, our prayers, our laughter - it's a true blessing to have such a supportive community.
A hearty welcome was extended to me and the sermon truly struck a chord, offering both conviction and inspiration.
Attended the family harvest festival at the Baptist church. The kindest folks, top-notch event with loads of activities for kiddos of every age. Much gratitude for all your community efforts!
I absolutely adore my Baptist church.
As soon as ye step foot through the door, ye feel a part of the First Baptist kin! If ye be seeking to hear about Jesus and the teachings of the Bible, this here church be the one for you. My little lass always enjoys the Sunday school classes and junior church. She pleads to return each week. The nursery staff be gentle, caring, and provide exceptional care for yer wee ones! The preacher relates his messages to everyday life, leaving you feeling inspired and prepared to face the week ahead.
As soon as my husband and I stepped foot into the Baptist church on that first Sunday, we were greeted with open arms. After a year of attending services, I made the decision to officially join this church family. If you are searching for a warm and welcoming community, look no further. The message of God is truly felt within these walls, and our Pastor Woody Bates is a true blessing. I encourage you to come pay us a visit and mention that Kookie sent you. Sending hugs your way.
I had the pleasure of participating in the Shepherd's Office Church Visitation today, where I was able to attend the morning service at the First Baptist Church in Georgetown, DE. Despite the chilly and windy weather, Pastor Woody warmly greeted us as we arrived, even waving to those driving in. The children were also holding up welcoming signs.
Throughout the service, I met various members of the congregation, such as Judy and her grandson, as well as Brandon and his friendly family who sat beside me. Interestingly, there were two Jims sitting in a row in front of me, which Pastor Joel humorously pointed out.
The service was filled with uplifting praise songs led by Pastor Joel. Pastor Woody encouraged us to fill out prayer cards and provided a worship guide for us to follow along. He mentioned that the church's ministry team has put in great effort to strike a balance between faith and fun for the children, with an upcoming Jingle Jam event scheduled for December 16 and 17.
The highlight of the service was Pastor Woody's powerful message based on Acts 19: 8-20, focusing on Paul's challenging journey to Ephesus to spread the gospel. Pastor Woody emphasized the importance of moving from mere belief to being saved and then striving towards being "spirit-filled." He stressed that God calls us to live dynamic faith lives, even in the face of resistance from others, internal struggles, and spiritual oppression. Pastor Woody reminded us that following the instructions in the Bible is not merely a suggestion but a great commission.
In times when our hearts become hardened or doubtful, it is essential to remain humble and open to daily preaching and teaching. It was a truly inspiring visit, and I am grateful for the warmth and kindness extended to me by everyone at the First Baptist Church.
What a jolly day at the Baptist church! We popped over 400 bags of popcorn, with the helping hands of Ronnie Johnson, Dan and Sue Jenkins, Ron and Sylvia Mason, Joel Pinson, Kathy Phillips, Bill Jones, and yours truly. Later on, we enjoyed the 5 and 7 o'clock services with a delightful theme of "A Country Christmas." And let me tell you, if you missed it, you missed out big time as it was simply spectacular. To top it all off, we wrapped up the evening with a screening of the classic movie, "A Charlie Brown Christmas." What a splendid day and evening it was!
I've been attending First Baptist of Georgetown for nearly 4 years now and it has truly been a blessing. The congregation is incredibly welcoming and friendly, embracing people from all walks of life. Pastor Woody prioritizes preaching directly from the Bible, a practice that resonates deeply with me and many others in our community. Our church family is a cherished part of my experience here. I need not convince anyone to join us, as I trust that the Lord will guide those meant to be a part of this wonderful church. May God continue to bless this church and all who come across this message.
