What a splendid fellowship we had tonight centered around expressing gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon us by God. I had the pleasure of attending the Thanksgiving Eve Worship Service and was truly moved. Various Sister Churches joined us, along with members of the local community. Dale Memorial United Methodist Church of Middletown graced us with their presence, including their talented Praise Dancers, and we all experienced a divine time in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As the aroma of the Thanksgiving Turkey filled the air, everyone set aside their culinary tasks and gathered to collectively worship God, united in purpose. This is the true essence of Thanksgiving – giving back and appreciating wholeheartedly all that He has done for us. The doors of our Church are always open, welcoming one and all. "Come One, Come All" to experience unity in one Lord, one Faith, and one Baptism.

Pastor Kenneth Anderson, our visiting clergy, delivered a powerful message on The Great Thanksgiving. Let us all join in saying Amen to the wonderful blessings we have received.

This historical church, run by a fantastic team of individuals, is truly remarkable. It exudes a sense of tradition and connection to our faith that is simply inspiring.

I popped along to this church one Sunday with my mate from New York. The folks there were really welcoming and friendly. However, I must say, I wasn't a fan of the seats. Kept feeling like I was gonna slide right off onto the floor! Quite the adventure, I tell you. On the bright side, I appreciated the little food "bank" they had by the entrance for those in need of a bite. The music was lovely, and I'm thinking of going back for another service. Was a bit bummed to hear about someone's car getting towed for parking there during a quiet time, but I reckon I would have had a word with the church to sort that out. Didn't get the sense that they were out to cause trouble.

Had a splendid encounter during a challenging period... my uncle departed this life and we needed to converse with the preacher regarding his ceremony... he was truly kind and full of compassion. I would wholeheartedly endorse him and this congregation.
Larry Cox (5/10/25, 2:26 AM):
A truly welcoming congregation with a traditional worship service and Sunday school classes for everyone, regardless of age.

Ever since I set foot in Bethesda UMC on that first Sunday, I knew I had found my spiritual home. The warm welcome from everyone, Pastor Todd's heartfelt sermons, the vibrant children's program, and dynamic youth group all played a part in making me feel truly at ease. The church's dedication to various community missions and active involvement of its members in local outreach further solidified my admiration. Not to mention, the stunning beauty of the church building itself, steeped in the rich history of Middletown. Without a doubt, this is the finest church I've had the pleasure of attending.
