Impressive church, quite cozy. The sound system is top-notch and the upkeep is spotless. However, the services tend to be a tad lengthy for the younger crowd. It would be preferable not to have simultaneous events like baptisms during mass. The church itself is lovely, although the altar's modern painting isn't quite my cup of tea. It's imperative to have more handicap parking available, as the existing spaces are quite cramped.

Greetings, my name is Alan Diaz. Hailing from diverse corners of New York, Harlem is where I call home, having been born and raised there. Life has thrown me its fair share of curveballs—struggling with alcohol, being involved in gangs, and enduring physical, mental, and emotional abuse from my own family before the tender age of five. It's been a tough journey. Nurtured in the Catholic faith, I strayed and lost touch with my beliefs during these tumultuous times.

Now, let's skip ahead to 2010 when I crossed paths with the woman of my dreams. Just a week before, I had fervently prayed for God to mold me into a better person, and lo and behold, my wife entered my life. We've weathered numerous storms together, and her unwavering support stands as a testament to the grace of God. For about four years, we navigated the shelter system. One day, she popped the question before the pastor she had grown up with was transferred. Without a shadow of a doubt, I knew she was the one I wanted to journey through life with, so I joyfully said yes! We exchanged vows, and God smiled upon us, blessing us with an apartment to raise our family in a place we could finally call our own.

Subsequently, I secured a position at one of New York's most esteemed medical practices, NYU, where I dedicated almost eight years of service before our relocation to Delaware. Meanwhile, my wife flourishes in her thriving home-based business, and together, we balance work and parenting our two bright and adventurous boys. Actively engaged as catechists, lectors, and volunteers in our former New York parish, our move to Middletown and integration into St. Joseph's Parish marked a significant transition. Yet, we have come to cherish this new community! Father Mark Kelleher and Father Anderson are simply marvelous! The church emanates a warmth and inclusivity that truly resonates with us. I eagerly anticipate forging connections with other parishioners, be it fellow men, women, or families. My hope is to nurture these relationships, particularly with other men of faith, in order to perpetuate the growth of the Men's Ministry, continuing the work I initiated back in New York.

We came 'round to this place and felt right at home with the "Regulars." The music was top-notch, and they had a splendid way of using moments of silence and reflection during the liturgy. The homily was decent - though I can't rightly make a full judgment on that after just one visit. The building itself is truly a sight to behold.

I visited St. Joseph's seeking solace and guidance from the priests to help me navigate the challenges that life had thrown my way. I found myself hanging on their every word, unsure of where else to turn. Slowly but surely, my life began to transform in ways that were truly remarkable and beyond measure. I make it a point to attend every single mass possible, and my gratitude towards Father Mark knows no bounds. His words during the homily resonate deeply with me, touching my heart and providing the guidance I so desperately needed.

In the few years that I've been attending mass, I hadn't reached out much for support. However, when I finally did, I was met with warm receptions and open arms from the community, even extending their kindness to my husband, my son with special needs, and myself as a disabled individual. I became a member of the Columbiettes and have started to experience a sense of belonging and camaraderie that had been absent from my life for many years.
