Truly, the church experience at The Journey is unlike any other and has had a profound impact on my faith journey. Every time I attend, I feel my faith growing stronger and deeper. The community here is filled with believers in Jesus Christ, and forming these meaningful relationships has been an incredible blessing. Serving on the Videography Team is always a joy, and I have so much fun collaborating with others. Being part of various J-Groups has allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals who share my passions and openly discuss God and His boundless love. The Pastor's messages are truly heartwarming and soul-stirring, resonating with me deeply. Through each visit, I am continuously expanding my knowledge of God's word, and my happiness knows no bounds. To all my fellow members at The Journey, I express my love and gratitude. May God's blessings be upon each one of you!

They are so judgmental, the pastor is awful, but the lady who sweats a lot is actually quite good.
Gabriel Harris (5/25/25, 5:51 AM):
What a brilliant church and marvelous congregation! I truly appreciate the way it is embracing the modern era.
Judy Ramos (5/21/25, 6:09 PM):
The Journey has been a true blessing in my life in so many ways! 😇✝️🙌 Initially, I would simply attend on Sundays to sit, listen, grab a coffee, and then be on my way. 😅 However, when I made the decision to step out of my comfort zone, that's when everything started to change. I decided to join a Spring JGroup for a few weeks, where we would do arts and crafts and discuss Jesus. Since then, I have been involved in various activities within the church community. The Journey has provided me with a nurturing environment for spiritual development! I have been able to strengthen my relationship with God, connect with fellow believers, got baptized in 2019, and take joy in volunteering at community events whenever possible to spread a message of love, life, and hope in Christ! ❤️
Every relationship requires effort and commitment 🙂↕️ Getting involved and being part of something bigger than myself has truly made a difference for me! And for that, I am tremendously grateful! 🥲🙌
Come as you are, "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."
Matthew 11:28 NLT [28] Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. ❤️

I absolutely adore this church because it's unlike any other! The lively music sets it apart from traditional churches, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere that truly resonates with me.
Joyce Roberts (5/20/25, 10:22 PM):
I worshiped online initially, however, I found that the church is quite large and even when attending in person, the pastor doesn't seem to recognize individuals. With such a vast congregation, those in need of assistance are typically directed to a prayer team or community group. I believe it is important for the head pastor to personally connect with those seeking help. I also felt unfulfilled by the sermons, finding them somewhat tepid and geared towards attracting new attendees. Additionally, the strong association with Church of the Highlands and Chris Hodges raised significant concerns for me.
Amelia Cruz (5/19/25, 11:41 PM):
I absolutely adore praise music with guitars, drums, and all the instruments, as the Bible suggests praising Him with all kinds of instruments. I usually tune in to K-Love radio. However, I found the volume a bit overwhelming at the church service. It felt more like attending a concert rather than a worship service. Personally, I think the excessive lighting effects were a bit too much for my taste. It reminded me more of mainstream concerts rather than a church setting. I ended up sitting in the lobby, watching and listening to the service on TV.
I believe it is important to show respect during worship time and to enjoy coffee or other drinks before the service begins, rather than bringing them into the sanctuary. I also noticed some people in the lobby using their laptops or phones, not giving their full attention to the pastor on the TV screen. Children were running around the "coffee" bars, which was quite distracting. In my opinion, churches don't need all the extravagant displays to attract members.
On a brighter note, I had a pleasant conversation with a woman who I assume was an usher at the auditorium door. She was very welcoming and mentioned the different groups one could join. I am interested in joining the Bible study group, as I miss having that community. If this kind of church experience suits you, then God bless.
Ralph Gonzales (5/19/25, 2:39 PM):
During Prayer and fasting, the church is jam-packed at 7 in the morning! Absolutely breathtaking. There's a sea of brothers and sisters lifting their voices in praise to God. This is genuine church for authentic believers.
Terry Moore (5/18/25, 5:45 PM):
This here church is truly somethin' special, mate! They've got this top-notch "Growth Track" program divided into four parts that aims to introduce folks to the church, unearth their special talents, and guide 'em towards serving others. Brilliant, innit?
Amanda Mitchell (5/18/25, 3:00 PM):
This church is really chill. You don't even have to be a believer to check it out. The folks here are so welcoming and friendly. The teaching is top-notch and the music is a blast.
Patricia Ortiz (5/18/25, 9:32 AM):
Wonderful message!!! Perfect timing!
Judy Hernandez (5/17/25, 4:13 PM):
I thoroughly enjoyed the service and the friendly welcome from the staff. I plan on coming to more services in the days ahead. Thanks for making me feel so welcomed, and I can't wait to see everyone again.
Andrew Davis (5/14/25, 4:49 AM):
I've been attending this church for four years now and I must say, I'm truly grateful that God led me to this place. Every Sunday, when I leave the sermon, I feel like I've learned something valuable - whether it's a lesson on what I need to improve in my life or a reminder of what I'm doing right. Pastor Mark is simply amazing, as are all the other pastors here. If you come to this church and still don't want Christ in your life, then I really don't know what else to say. God bless you all and thank you for everything.
Deborah Price (5/13/25, 7:08 AM):
I absolutley adored this church. I was introduced by my children's godfather, who served in Journey Kids. I attended for a period of 5 years and even had my family baptized here. However, when it came time for my children's godfather to take on a leadership role, he faced obstacles due to his sexual orientation. Despite dedicating 5 years of service to the church, he was informed that he could only continue working with Journey Kids if he vowed to never enter into a relationship. This left me feeling deeply disheartened as I believed this church was meant to be inclusive of all individuals. Instead, it revealed itself to be another judgmental institution that ostracizes those who are different.
Prior to this incident, I had already begun to distance myself from the church as I felt overwhelmed by the constant pressure to serve, join groups, and follow their prescribed path. The atmosphere that once felt welcoming and positive had transformed into something unsettling and focused solely on financial contributions. It seems that the emphasis has shifted from fostering genuine connections to prioritizing monetary donations. At their gatherings, there was a consistent push for financial support before, during, and after the services.
My heart aches as I reflect on my fond memories of this church. Regrettably, the current environment no longer resonates with me. It is a shadow of what it used to be, and has lost the authenticity that initially drew me in.
Rachel Fisher (5/13/25, 12:00 AM):
Discovering this church truly transformed my life. It's an incredible space for individuals exploring their faith journey and for seasoned believers looking to deepen their spiritual growth. The worship band is phenomenal, the sermons are highly relatable, and it's a wonderful environment to cultivate new friendships!
Kimberly Thomas (5/12/25, 2:44 PM):
I had a brilliant time at this church. The volunteers are ever so friendly, and they're doing a smashing job of keeping everything spick and span, all while following the COVID-19 guidelines. If you're after a church that truly worships Jesus, discusses real-life issues, and doesn't pass judgment on you, then this is the ideal spot for you!
Sandra Rivera (5/11/25, 11:29 PM):
I must say, I was quite disappointed when I attended church with a non-believer in search of Jesus, only to experience a worship service that lacked the fervor I was hoping for. It felt as though our momentum was dampened. In my pursuit of Jesus, I was met with references to Spider-Man, which seemed unnecessary as God does not require Marvel's assistance to connect with His people. The atmosphere felt tepid, reminiscent of the behaviors of Jezebel and the Pharisees. It all felt very worldly and indecisive. At one point, I thought I saw a glimmer of light, but it quickly faded, and then I had a vision of a massive serpent.
Paul Miller (5/11/25, 6:27 AM):
What a lovely experience and such powerful words! I recently went to my cousin's Baptism ceremony. It was truly amazing to witness God's awesome power and grace ✨️
Kelly Roberts (5/9/25, 6:24 PM):
Fantastic church! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the message really resonates with me.
Jeffrey Baker (5/8/25, 6:02 AM):
The Journey church is not a flawless establishment. And thank the Lord for that!!! Such perfection does not exist. The church of my upbringing always seemed to have all the answers and I never felt like I truly belonged. I am a flawed and imperfect individual, and here I found my place. From the very moment I stepped through the doors on Easter Sunday in 2015, I immediately felt a sense of security. It felt like home, like being among family. The relationships my loved ones and I have built over the past five years have been a true gift. Our church community has stood by us during some of our darkest days. The worship services are truly uplifting. Pastor Mark's sermons make you feel like, regardless of where you stand in your faith journey, you have a place here. They have instilled in us the belief from the start that our relationship with Jesus is personal and can be nurtured at our own pace. In the autumn of 2015, my spouse and I were baptized by Pastor Mark, and in the spring of 2016, I had the honor of baptizing our daughter. We became actively involved right away and have taken on various roles in service and leadership as a family. Now, all of us are dedicated followers of Jesus Christ. We eagerly anticipate where our walk with Jesus will lead us, especially now that our circumstances have changed, and how The Journey will continue to impact lives in our community, Journey City!! Oh, and let me tell you, the Strength In Recovery group on Wednesday nights is absolutely incredible!!!!!🎚🙏💪
