There are always some unique items here that you can't find anywhere else, but the prices on other products are a bit too high. Despite that, it's a good store overall.

The shopping center was spotless and the staff were really welcoming. It's great to see all the offerings they have for military personnel on base. I picked up a souvenir coffee mug for the missus, she'll love it!

Great place for picking up items without venturing into Anchorage. Haircuts are affordable, the commissary is reliable. The general store offers typical PX prices. The food court is quite pleasant, I must say.

Ever since the government handed over control to civilian companies and individuals, the costs for everything from housing to currency exchange and the shopping center have skyrocketed, no longer providing a advantage to the military but only serving the interests of civilian owners and contractors! The prices have become unmanageable! Thank you, Biden and Obama!

AAFES offers two options - either very generic or very expensive. Everything else seems to be cheaper off base/post or on Amazon. It's surprising that Walmart hasn't taken over the Exchange contract already. Personally, I only visit AAFES for spirits, liquor, and beer.

Just had a wee visit to the local shopping mall, where they have a basic military exchange and a few local stands dotted about. During the chilly winter months, a couple of market vendors pop up too. The staff can be a bit hit or miss, and every now and then you might find some things missing from the shelves due to supply chain hiccups. Not much choice in furniture either. However, the prices are reasonable for this neck of the woods.
