Discover Polar Bowl: The Ultimate Family Bowling Experience at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska

Welcome to Polar Bowl, the premier bowling alley located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska. This family-friendly facility offers a fun environment, perfect for children and adults alike. Whether you're planning a birthday party for your kids or just looking for a fun day out with the family, Polar Bowl has something to offer everyone.

Kid-Friendly Activities and Amenities

One of the standout features of Polar Bowl is its focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for families. The bowling alley boasts top-notch kid ramps, making it easy for children to enjoy bowling without any hassle. It's also the ideal venue for kids' birthday parties, ensuring that your little ones have an unforgettable celebration filled with fun and laughter.

Delicious Food Offerings

While bowling is the main attraction, Polar Bowl also offers a variety of food options to satisfy your cravings. You can choose from healthy choices as well as typical dive bar food like pizza, burgers, and tots. However, some guests have noted that the prices can be a bit steep, with meals costing over $20 for smaller portions. Despite these concerns, many visitors appreciate the savory dishes available at the Pins dining area.

Accessibility for All Guests

Polar Bowl takes accessibility seriously, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park to ensure all guests can enjoy their experience without barriers. This commitment to inclusivity makes it a great choice for families with different needs.

Affordable Fun or Expensive Outings?

Many guests have remarked on the affordability of games during specific hours, such as the early bird specials, where you can bowl for just 99 cents per game. However, other visitors have pointed out that outside of these deals, bowling can become quite expensive, especially for larger families. For example, one family reported spending around $80 for two games for six people, which may deter some from frequent visits.

Conclusion: A Great Spot for Family Fun!

In summary, Polar Bowl is a fantastic bowling alley that should not be missed if you're on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. With its kid-friendly environment, diverse food offerings, and accessibility features, it provides a fun space for family bonding and leisure activities. Lovely little bowling alley, I must say. The chap there mentioned they've recently revamped their computer systems. And a jolly good deal they have too, if you fancy a game before 4 pm. Cheers!
Doris Ramirez (6/26/25, 7:42 AM):
Hyper bowling is quite a nifty concept, but the lanes seem overly responsive to high velocities. The cuisine, priced over $20 for a modest hotdog or the like, struck me as rather steep. My companion and I ended up shelling out more than $50 for a snack-sized repast for two. It's truly disheartening that even on base, our Soldiers/Airmen can't evade the clutches of Alaska's inflation. While this venue could serve as a prime opportunity for curbing instances of DUIs, the exorbitant costs likely deter young Service members from patronizing it. Alas, with such astronomical prices, one can hardly be surprised by the absence of our youthful troops there. One can only wonder how this establishment plans to improve retention rates under such circumstances.
Timothy Flores (6/25/25, 11:21 AM):
Absolutely smashing! My experience at the bowling alley was simply top-notch. The atmosphere was jolly, the lanes were tip-top, and the staff was ever so friendly. I had a cracking good time and can't wait to go back for another go! Cheers!

It's an enjoyable change to step out of the office and engage in some team building activities at the bowling alley.
Leonard Gutierrez (6/18/25, 7:47 AM):
I must say, I had a splendid time with the family at the Bowling alley.
Gary Ramos (6/15/25, 2:48 AM):
Delightful selection of food available at the bowling alley. There are some healthier options, but mostly it's your classic dive bar fare - tater tots, pizzas, mozzarella sticks, sodas, beer, burgers, and more. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. The lanes have a fun feature where they capture your picture and place you in amusing scenes based on your bowling performance for that frame. It's enjoyable for both children and adults, making for a fantastic time all around.
George Gonzales (6/14/25, 7:48 AM):
Oh, dear mate, this here establishment be a proper bowling alley, it is! 😉
Eric Lewis (6/14/25, 5:38 AM):
A fantastic spot for the little ones!
Hannah Fisher (6/13/25, 6:31 PM):

Edward Kim (6/11/25, 1:13 PM):
Just the right size, spotlessly clean, and the nosh was top-notch! The kiddos and folks alike had an absolute blast!
Peter Powell (6/8/25, 12:12 AM):
Polar Bowl at JBER is a fantastic place for a jolly evening of tenpin bowling with the whole family. The rates are quite reasonable and they serve some scrumptious pizza too!
Benjamin Parker (6/7/25, 5:51 PM):
Not too shabby, but if you're not keen on the dim lighting and neon glow that obscures the lane, you might want to give this bowling alley a miss. Cheers!
Joseph Butler (6/6/25, 7:47 AM):
The bar doesn't open until 5 on Sundays, but the Sunday deal is quite good. The quality of some lanes can be a bit hit or miss.
Layla James (6/1/25, 12:14 AM):
A marvelous establishment for bowling, indeed!
Charles Kim (5/31/25, 8:51 PM):
The bowling alley 'round here has just had a fancy makeover, and the seating by the lanes is right cozy and fits well with a spot of bowling. The prices for a game are fair, and the vibe is real family-friendly and lively. You can even place an order for some grub from the grill. Remember, you'll need base access to enjoy a game at Polar Bowl.
